Officer Melton's eight-hour presentation "Bridging the Gap Between Law Enforcement and The Deaf/Hard of Hearing" is tailor-made for law enforcement officers. In it he impresses on officers how to understand, relate to and effectively deal with the cultural differences between themselves and the deaf/hard of hearing person. It provides basic information which can be used as a foundation for expanding awareness of the deaf/hard of hearing and related legal issues.
